At Munday Scientific, we’ve always valued the relationships we’ve built within the microscopy community. One such relationship is with Kevin Charton and his company, Delta Optical. We think so highly of Kevin and his team, not just for their expertise, but for the journey we’ve shared together. Both Munday Scientific and Delta Optical are proud to be Authorized Olympus and Nikon microscope repair stations, and our histories are intertwined in a way that has shaped who we are today.

A Shared Beginning: Olympus Microscope Training

Throwing it way back, Scott Munday and Kevin Charton first crossed paths during an Olympus microscope training class. It was here that the foundation for both of our companies was laid. The training was rigorous, but it was also an opportunity for Scott and Kevin to develop their skills, exchange ideas, and build a professional bond that would last for years. It's amazing to see the progression of both Delta Optical and Munday Scientific since those early days. We've grown in parallel, each contributing to the field in our own unique way, and it's been a pleasure to watch Delta Optical thrive alongside us.

The Opportunity that Changed Everything

Scott’s journey to becoming an Olympus Authorized service provider is a story that we hold dear. The late Lenwood "Lennie" Cleaton, who was the Head Olympus salesperson for RTP/North Carolina at the time, played a pivotal role in this. Lennie saw something in Scott that led him to offer an invitation to lunch. But Scott, never one to miss an opportunity, replied with, "How about getting me authorized!" This moment marked the beginning of our long-standing relationship with Olympus, a partnership that has allowed us to serve our customers with the highest standards of quality and expertise.

As we reflect on these shared experiences, we’re filled with pride for how far we’ve come. The partnership between Munday Scientific and Delta Optical is built on mutual respect, shared goals, and a commitment to excellence. We’ve both grown from those early training days into respected leaders in the field, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved.
