Upgrading Your Nikon E400: A Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Familiarize Yourself with the Kit

• The kit includes:
  • Power Supply
  • LED Puck with E400 adapter
  • Control Pod with Potentiometer
  • 3M Adhesive Tape

Step 2: Remove the Original Lamp House

• Take your E400 and carefully remove the original lamp house, setting it aside.
• Remove the original bulb.

Step 3: Install the New Lamp House Cover

• Insert the new plastic lamp house cover around the ceramic socket.
• Gently lever it forward until the magnets engage and hold it in place.

Step 4: Attach the Control Pod

• Remove the 3M adhesive tape from the small piece of plastic and attach it to the bottom of the LED potentiometer control pod.
• Place this on your microscope and secure it using the 3M tape.

Step 5: Connect the Power Cable

• Connect the two power cables as shown.

Step 6: Test the Kit

• Plug in the kit and test it out to ensure everything is working to your satisfaction.
